Industrial Automation or Automation systems or PLC control systems is the use of control systems such as microcomputers or PLC to control industrial machinery and process. Conventional systems in industrial machinery called mechanization Whereas mechanization provided human operators with machinery to assist them with the physical requirements of work. Industrial Automation greatly reduces the need for human sensory and mental requirements as well. Processes and systems can also be automated.

Industrial Automation plays an increasingly important role in the global economy and in daily experience. With automation systems we can run high speed production line. We can make the process more precise, reliable, fast, and reduce production cost.

If we want make our production running automatic or industrial automation. It is not so easy. Engineers strive to combine automated devices with mathematical and organizational tools to create complex systems or automation systems. Specialised hardened computers, referred to as programmable logic controllers (PLC), are frequently used to synchronize the flow of inputs from (physical) sensor and events with the flow of outputs to actuators and events. This leads to precisely controlled actions that permit a tight control of almost any industrial automation systems .

In industrial automation, Human-machine interface (HMI) or LCD display to communicate with PLC and other computers, such as entering and monitoring temperature or pressures for further automated control PLC or emergency response. Service personnel who monitor and control these interfaces are often referred to as stationary engineers.

Formal validation of industrial automation systems requires three constituent components: a model of the controller, a model of the uncontrolled plant and a specification of desired or forbidden plant behavior.

So we have to know about industrial component first and then we can learn about how to combine the component and design the control systems for industrial automation. For next posting I try to share my knowledge how to create industrial automation systems
